Age Range:
2nd through 12th grade (recommended)
*Depending on skill level, students can try to participate in either program to suit their needs.

Winter (2025): Jan 6th - March 11th
Spring (2025): March 24th - May 28th
Price:
$297.00 per session, paid up front.
Includes unlimited climbing membership & normal perks.
Includes climbing shoe & harness rentals during class session.
Late/in-session entries to the program will be accepted and pro-rated per request.

Program Details:
Introduction to climbing techniques, safety, and general knowledge.
Introduction to rope climbing, auto-belay, and top rope.
Team building and introduction into the CRG climbing community, focus on the social aspects of climbing as well as the physical exercise.
Climbing games and exercises specifically tailored towards beginners or climbers looking to have fun!
Start building strength & climbing endurance towards development into competitive climbing team.
Work on various climbing projects & goals and possibly venture into a recreational climbing competition.

Program Details:
Enhanced instructions on rope climbing techniques, belaying, top rope & lead climbing (depending on skill & comfort level).
Assessment testing to determine their levels of power, power endurance and endurance relative to climbing.
Goal setting workshops to help our athletes learn to set goals and develop a plan to achieve those goals.
Personalized instruction on their individual projects in the gym.
Strength, core and flexibility exercise routines that are age specific and relative to their climbing goals.
One on one coaching time.
Numerous climbing games that are designed to teach specific climbing techniques and skills to help athletes reach their goals.
Optional take-home exercises that are specific to the athlete and will enable our coaches to dedicate the full hour and a half of practice to climbing (The more strength training you do at home, the more time we can put towards getting on the wall and climbing).
Competition readiness (how climbing competitions work, competition strategy, competition mindset).
Competition in the USA climbing circuit is strongly encouraged once per session. Fees for competitions are separate from session fees.

Why you coach: I have always loved working with kids and being a positive role model for them. I try to create a positive and safe environment for them to just be themselves. I love seeing the excitement when they work together and complete a challenge on the wall.
